We wanted to get our backup Zamboni up & running after sitting in storage for 8 months, but the battery was completely dead and would not take a charge. Our regular service company came in and correctly diagnosed a sulfation issue inside the battery. Unfortunately, this type of problem can't be solved without more damage to the lead plates in the battery.
We had already brought Power Batt USA in to disulfate and maintain our current Zamboni in operation, plus floor scrubber batteries, successfully. We asked Chris to take a look at our backup Zamboni. He agreed with initial diagnoses, suggested a 2-step plan to completely disulfate the plates in the battery properly so the battery could start taking a charge and to completely refurbish the plates and chemistry of the battery acid.
The plan worked. The Civic Center now has an operable 3rd Zamboni and saved just under $12k in new batteries. Pretty incredible technology.
Thank you,
